62 Goodge Street, Fitzrovia, London W1T 4NE
Barrica is a marvellous Spanish restaurant and tapas bar found just steps away from Goodge Street tube station in the very heart of central London. Looking like it has just been plucked from a Barcelona Rambla and placed in the heart of London’s West End Barrica is wonderfully authentic and effortlessly stylish. With its superb central location, it is a popular hangout amongst the media crowd who flock there for its fantastic tapas menu. Huge Serrano hams hang from the buzzing bar area where the chatty clientele indulge in vino and tapas to their hearts delight. The dining area offers a slightly more intimate feel where one wall is completely hidden behind a large wine cabinet.
The menu offers all the usual suspects one would expect from a tapas bar such as tasty slivers of the finest Pata Negra ham, the tastiest meatballs and the finest little anchovies marinated in vinegar. Other more unusual offerings include the amazing sweetbreads with artichoke roast quail with grapes and the baked chicory with Picos blue cheese.
The wine list features a great ion of Spanish varieties and there are over 20 Sherries to choose from too. Barrica is a delightful taste of Spain found in the heart of London.
