Staff are efficient & a la carte prices are very reasonable, but it's really the ambience and the superb, authentic food that make this restaurant such a winner.
Belgo Centraal is a fantastic ‘Bierhall’ style restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden, specialising in Belgian style cuisine including the classical moules frites, pork & leek sausages wiith stoemp, (potato mash with Savoy cabbage, leeks & carrots) & stunning Flemmish beef stews with baked prunes & apples.
There are two main dining rooms in Belgo Centraal, the ‘Beer Hall’ with long refectory tables and the ‘restaurant’ with more intimate booths, but wherever you sit, the atmosphere is always buzzy & friendly. One of Belgo’s real masterpieces is its long-running ‘Beat the Clock’ & ‘lunch & a beer for a fiver’ promotions, both of which have been attracting a loyal customer base for years, as well as it’s extensive choice of superb Belgian beers.
However, be warned, Belgo’s is one of the busiest restaurants in the Covent Garden area, so booking in advance is essential.
