The Summerhouse is a real delight for spring and summertime dining, and if you find yourself in this area during winter, head to its superb sister restaurant The Waterway instead.
The Summerhouse is a beautiful seasonal fish and seafood restaurant found along the banks of the Grand Union Canal in London’s Little Venice, and acts as sister restaurant to the nearby Waterway from April through to October each year. The setting couldn’t be more idyllic, set beside the pretty canal with its charming narrowboats moored at the sides and the décor is spot on with a blue and white striped nautical look complete with contemporary white furnishings.
The menu offers a delectable array of fresh fish and seafood dishes which include the amazing Summerhouse fish pie New England clam chowder mussels and halibut with fish sauce and the most delicious fish and chips. There are a few meat dishes to choose from too and the steak is particularly good. The wine list has been carefully chosen to match the menu perfectly and cocktails such as the Waterside Cooler (rum, lime juice, ginger beer and orange liqueur) really do add a little extra to the proceedings.
