Based in the massive former Bankside power station on the south side of the river Thames opposite Blackfriars and St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern is the most visited modern art gallery in the world. A hugely popular London attraction, the Tate Modern features works of contemporary art from 1900 until present day. With the millennium bridge linking it directly over to the north of the river which then leads straight up to St Paul’s, the Tate Modern is surrounded by great London restaurants.
