A formidable culinary team has created a delightful neighborhood restaurant which combines stylish interiors and a superb British menu.
Kitchen W8 opened its doors to London’s Kensington in October 2009, taking over from Bistrot Eleven’s 11 Abingdon Road location. At the helm of this fantastic new restaurant venture is Phillip Howard from the Michelin starred The Square restaurant and top restrauteur Rebecca Mascarenhas.
The dining room boasts comfy banquettes and smart dark oak flooring and offers lovely little alcoves for a more intimate meal. As for the menu, well thought out British dishes are the order of the day with starters such as potted rabbit and pork with bay leaf jelly and sourdough toast or ravioli of crab and red mullet with squid, cuttlefish, octopus and lemon followed by mains like fillet of Cornish sea bream with leeks, oysters and mussels or grilled ox tongue, shallot purée and foie gras baked potato.
Dessert is a must at Kitchen W8 when you have crème fraiche tart with lemon curd ice cream and passion fruit and lime mess with Brillat-Savarin cream on the menu. Kensington has a new culinary gem on its hands with the brilliant Kitchen W8.
