Perched just off Kensington High Street and only a 4-minute walk from Gloucester Road underground station, The Abingdon serves up a fine menu of British and Modern European cuisine.
A long-standing favourite of this part of London for many years, The Abingdon may appear like your average pub on the corner of the street from the outside, but within its walls you’ll find a stylish, modern restaurant and bar.
Chic leather banquette seats and polished wood tables complete with charming lamps create a fine space in which to dine. The menu relies upon local, independent suppliers and is consistently refreshed with new dishes along with old favourites to keep everyone happy. Tuck into mouth watering dishes such as duck breast with Cavolo Nero, carrot puree and jus or Stonebass fillet with puy lentils and braised baby gem.
Wine is a strong focus at The Abingdon too, with an excellent list of Old and New World wines to choose from. Cocktails are bog on the agenda here too with a good selection of classics as well as a variety of contemporary mixes.
The Abingdon is a great neighbourhood eatery in this part of West London yet is also well worth the trip if you’re based a little further afield.
