One of the best Italian restaurants in SW1, UNo in London’s Pimlico offers both classical and modern Italian cuisine in sleek surroundings.
This hot Italian eatery opened its doors to the capital back in 1997 and with a recent refurbishment Uno has placed itself firmly at the top of the pile in Pimlico for both style and quality. The ground floor boasts rich ebony panelling and a sumptuous black granite bar as well as a discreet conservatory area and the lower floor is decked out in cool leathers and woods.
Private dining is first class at Uno, where the secluded vault caters for up to 14 diners. A circular glass floor gives stunning views of the wine cellar which contains over 350 bins.
As for the food, a superb a la carte menu as well as a weekly changing menu showcases some incredible Italian specialties such as sautéed monkfish wrapped in Parma ham and served with a light soup of wild mushrooms and chestnuts or ravioli filled with duck and wild mushroom ragout. Desserts like Tia Maria panna cotta with fresh strawberry coulis or classic Italian lemon tart are simply too good to miss. Uno brings fine dining and Italian cuisine together in perfect harmony and does it with style and flair.
